Hi, I brought my horse in from the field today and noticed he was a bit lame. After checking him over I noticed that his front leg was quite hot and swollen around the cannon bone. I hosed it with cold water for half an hour and then put him in his stable to rest. Does anybody have any ideas what could have caused this? Also what is the best way to cure it? I don't want to be getting a vet if it's unnecessary, Thanks in advance
