I look after a lame horse (she has laminitis) she’s with a muzzle, on Bute, medicine from the vets, padding and penned off (we don’t have stabling) But we are doing all treatment for her. What can I do with her, excluding exercising (obviously) , we aren’t grooming her because she’s still super sensitive but what can I do with her when it’s me and her. Any ideas? Thanks

leave her be to recuperate if she’s not enjoying touch! Sit with her quietly if you want to be close to her.

Not a lot really, when I was young my pony was stabled for a couple of weeks with a bad cut. I would take a chair and sit in his stable for an hour or so. He would come over for a bit of fuss and rest his head in my lap.
