Causes please? The horse is lame on a circle, worse on right rein, probably only 2/10ths?

Has been lame for 8 weeks now, with varying degrees of lameness. Was unshod but has had natural balance shoes on, no difference.

I think the vet is mad (personally) becasue 4 weeks ago, he said the horse was sound. Then I looked at him and he was clearly still lame. I asked the farrier to look at him who confirmed the lameness, vet recalled who could then see the lameness (amazing) and reccomended MORE BOX REST and LUNGEING? WTF

Not my horse but I am worried, aslo curious to know what may be the casue> Please help!
 
Having the same problem with Beau, lame on circle on right rein.

had mc timoney girl out today as she didnt get his right side finished last time so wanted to rule that out, she thinks its in his foot though, farrier then vet next port of call.

does horse have any heat/swelling/splints forming etc

may be a strong word of advise is needed then.. do you know them well enough?

That is what I am thinking.

Have fallen out with owner today becasue of my strong words....ho hum. Poor pony.

Same with my mare. She's sound in a straight line but lame on a circle.
 
Had exactly the same with mine, he didn't seem quite right - went to the vets and was confirmed as very slightly lame (less than 1/10th) on a circle but could not advise as to why without a lot of expensive investigations (pony is 18).

Had the farrier Tues who advised due to the hard ground he has slight signs of concussive laminitis (not overweight or on lush grass). He was already wearing NB shoes but will now wear gel pads as well. Thankfully the ground is softening up a bit now so farrier advised this should help.
 
ok, joey was slightly lame in a straight line and very lame on a circle, particularly one way, came on all of a sudden, had nerve blocks and xrays which concluded he has sidebones, so now has corrective shoes and is nice and sound, back to competing again

Navicular, although she has no boney changes on X-Ray but blocks/switches to navicular bursa. We think its more deep flexor tendon problems. She has thin soles as well! Typical TB

Mine got a hairline fracture of the pedal bone, completely sound in trot on straight line but lame on circle on left rein (was left fore she fractured). Hope the owners finally come to their senses and get a 2nd opinion!
