Lame pony advice please

Hi,

I found my pony lame tuesday, he has swelling on the inside of his lower fore leg. Ive used a cooling tightner plastery type stuff on it. He got a little bit better but is still noticably lame. Im going to get the vet tomorrow anyway but wondered if anyone could shed some light please?

As you are getting the vet tomorrow it would really be better to leave the leg and not apply anything to it, as this could mask the problem. The way you describe it it could be a tendon injury but it could be a lot of other things as well. Hopefully he isn't in too much pain tonight?

as Rose Folly said if vets coming tomorrow I wouldnt do anything as it may mask the problem, no painkillers etc. Could be tendon or fractured splint bone or just injured it? My boy went hopping lame when he did his splint and its huge!
