Lame shetland pony

hi guys, my shetland pony is slightly lame and limping on one of her front feet. She has barely any grass in her field so I do feed her hay occasionally, she is (was) under light groundwork exercise and gets a small feed 2x a day. Her feet aren’t hot and I have poked them everywhere, she isn’t bruised. She is happily following me around and still very bright. I have no clue what it is can anyone help?
 
I'd speak to the farrier.

Lari was quite lame the other day, an abscess was suspected and the farrier was coming out the following day but then didn't come as he had engine trouble. He said he'd come in the wife's car if Lari was on three legs which he wasn't so he was put onto bute which did help.

My partner went on his own to see him during the day on Thursday and said he was walking much better, we both saw him on Sunday and I bought him in onto the yard give him some fuss and he was fine on the concrete so we assume he must have stood on a stone or got kicked or something.

There are a lot of abscesses this time of year, some horses have thinner soles than others and some are more predisposed if they are standing in wet a lot which if they are turned out 24/7 they invariably are at this time of year.
 
could be an abscess or could be laminitis due to metabolic issues which at age 20 they are prime candidates. We had a mini present shuffly but only eating hay, had insulin tested and it was through the roof....hence, nothing he was eating was causing the lameness.
