Lame shetland

my Shetland came in from the field lame on her left front leg today.

There is some heat on the inside of her leg but there is also a small hole on the sole of her hoof.
what should I do????

Soak the hoof in a mixture of warm water and Epsom salt or warm water and iodine. And then have the vet come take a look at it to see how deep the hole is. It could be a puncture or a ruptured abcess
