my connemara has come up a little unsound in the front fore leg. no cuts, no swelling, no heat and nothing visible on the leg to suggest anything, looks exactly like normal. he’s only looking abit unsound in the trot , walk and canter he is completley fine. besides getting the vet out what you do alternatively or would you just get the vet out?

I would just get the vet out, via the farrier.

The farrier would find anything obvious, but I hate lameness that is slight and with no apparent cause. IME, it turns out to be something like arthritis or suspensory.

If the horse is shod I usually get the farrier to have a look first. This takes a couple days, if he finds nothing and horse no better I would take to the vet.
