Am I the only person looking forward to the film? I remember back in the day unless a horse was really lame the horse war ridden and expected to work. I love the idea of learning the more subtle signs of discomfort.

I watched a film about signs of discomfort some time ago, long reined Woody yesterday and have been worrying about the wrinkled up nostrils I could see at times. He is going to get a thorough checking today.

Yes, it should be good. Dr Dyson saw my boy and diagnosed his problems even though he wasn't *obviously* lame to most people - turned out he's so severe that he's going to be let go before winter, he's just a very honest and good boy! I'm now starting to tentatively look for a new horse and the ridden pain ethogram is how I will be viewing potential horses going forward. The thing to bear in mind with it, is how many signs a horse is showing - there needs to be 7 or 8 I think to be deemed significant. Can't fixate too much on just a swishy tail :D (which was my boy's biggest sign of pain!).
