My horse has been lame thru PSD and has been successfully operated on and come totally sound.
Except she is now lame on the front leg. It is on the same side as the worse back leg and it does not seem to be related at all.
I think she has knocked herself in the field and I have left her in the stable and been bandaging but she is still lame after 4 days, the vet is booked to come out to see her and the farrier has had a look and it is not an abcess.
I left her bandages off for about an hour today went back and looked and I can see some definite swelling, the farrier also has this nifty thermometer thing that is usually used for measuring how dry concrete is. The large circle is 6 degrees hotter than the same place on the other leg, her hooves are both the same temperature.
Here are some photos - one without annotation so that you can see it more clearly and one with so that you can see where I mean.
Has anyone got any ideas as I am now getting very depressed.
