Hi. Just wondered if any of you had any thoughts - I've a 19year old horse who has been a little off in front for a few weeks - had the physio out who worked on his pelvis and said the front lameness was due to him messing around and hurting himself behind. Was fine for a few days after this.
A week later he came in hopping lame 😱 looked like a broken leg from a distance- no heat or swelling any where- would just touch toe to the ground and no more. Vet came out an suspected an abscess- looked couldn't find anything - advised tubbing for a few days to see. Farrier also was out a few days later but couldn't see anything.
He has now developed a soreness around the top of his elbow and around his chest - sore to touch but again no heat or swelling 🙈 Vet came out again and we xrayed his foot but it's all came back clear. He is now able to walk on it but is very reluctant to extend the leg to walk normally- so still limps along. Is currently on bute and rest but no marked improvement.
