So....Jazz goes to the vets tomorrow for a full lameness work up (someone please tell me what this involves as I am clueless!?

) I know she is having x-rays and that I need to bring my tack so presumably I will be riding!

I really worried as she doesn't travel well by herself and I am hoping that she'll settle at the vets at least enough for them to do what they need to.
She's been 'not right' for 8 weeks and I have had both the vet and the farrier up twice to look at her and we've all come to the conclusion that it's her back left - there is no heat and only a small amount of swelling in her hock, she is fine on a straight line and lame on a circle but on only one rein and weirdly she is better on a hard surface than a soft. So searching the internet I cant even find anything that it might be, so any ideas r experiences with this sort of thing welcome

I am mainly afraid of the outcome because I am worried that because it's gone on for so long that it is something degeneritive (sp) that will only get worse or something that will require alot of treatment. She is unable to go on box rest so this is why I am so concerned. And she is a girl with alot of instinct and although she is fab now in new situations she gets very stressed so I am lenient to put her for too much treatment.

One of the options that I feel would suit us would be just to chuck her out in a field for a year to see what that brings.

I know I am being a pain in the a$se but it's nice to right it out because it sorts it out in my head!!

Any help, experiences please write or just to tell me to shut up and get on with it!

I suppose I've just got to wait and see what tomorrow brings.
O, and any idea how much full lameness work up will cost - as I'vr got to foot the bill and then insurence pays me back.

Thanks in advance and sorry post is very rambally!

No advice just offering some good luck vibes and it could be something and nothing stay positive.

Try and stay calm whilst there she will feed off you.

Good Luck
