Im going to get a second opinion and get a vet to come and do a lameness/flexion tests, but tomorrow the farrier is coming and i was going to get his shoes taken off as i cant ride him at the min, can these tests still take place if he has no shoes on?

Thankyou, its just tricky as i will be booking him with the vet so he might not be seen for over a week, then his shoes will be over due, i dont really want to pay £75 to replace them as the likelyhood is he will have an opp then prob have them removed then 😩

I wouldn't have the vet look at the horse 2 weeks overdue for shoes, that would be 7 or 8 weeks then especially this time of year the grass makes them really grow, after 5 weeks the balance has altered somewhat, can't you get the vet this week to look before the shoes can come off?
