lameness video what do you think is wrong??

Poor you. Try not to worry :(

My boy went lame and took a good month to diagnose. I wa terrified and had that bad feeling that I'd lose him.

Luckily it is treatable and I'm sure your outcome will be the same. Keep us updated and good luck.

that is good news too, I had dealings with him before and while he didn't find much time for me during the examination, afterwards he took time in explaining what had been happening and what the options were and I asked my vet to see him again

Also too be honest I don't have a good feeling about it anyway, have had lame horses before and never even considered I would lose them This time I have already mentioned to my family that I might lose him :(

no im probably completely wrong.

ellen singer is one of the godlike vets at leahurst who dealt with my horses lameness issues a few years back (ok thats putting it mildly - he had a hole in his leg!.) shes very good as well.

he's in safe hands :)
 
Im sorry to see your horse so uncomfortable, it must be so hard for you.
He looks lame all round to me, but mainly up front.
I think there may be more than one thing going on.
I think up front soreness might be located in the feet ? Possibly Navicular, the way hes placing his feet, with that awful hopping gait
Im not sure whats happening behind, whether hes just not able to use himself properly and by over compensating has soreness is his back, or whether soreness in his back is makeing him unable to work through from behind
I really hope you get a diagnosis soon as its awful when theres obviously a problem, with no diagnosis

I recently had a hopping horse and when we dug deeper in to it she had an abcess deep down in the hoof. I presume (i am sure you have) you have hoof tested and had a good look around the hooves, When my mare was hopping I instantly thought the worse but was an abcess box rest, bute and now she is back to her naughty TB self..

Just a thought I am sure you have ruled it out or it has already been mentioned.

does it do it with any other rider? to me it doesnt appear lame all the time and actually looks like its trying to strike off in to canter - its my opinion though please dont take it the wrong way as im not a vet
