horse is going in on monday and vets have suggested i leave her and couldnt really give me a time frame . i presume this is because it will depend on what they find .assuming its initial exam, lunge ,spavin check then seeing her ridden and poss x rays .does anyone have wexperience of this . im also worried that because shes not very lame they will need to make her more lame to identify the problem .am i overreacting.

In your situation, it entirely depends on what they find i guess. If they are starting from scratch it might take 2 days, if they find the source quickly you might end up picking her up monday night. Just ask them when you drop her off.

As China says. I stable at a vets and sometimes horses are there for a day, problem found and off they go but if not further tests are done the following day.
Ive not seen many ridden as part of the work up, its normally walk, trot up, flexion tests, lunge on soft and possibly hard, nerve blocks, more trot up, lunge then xrays.
This is from an untrained on looker though so I presume they do other checks too.
The horses at the vets that stay overnight seem very settled. Good luck I hope you get to the bottom of it.

My horse was there for at three days I think, they did nerve blocks, ultra sound, xrays...so it basically depeds on what they find, when they find it as to how long she'll be there. I would imagine she'll be there at least for the best part of a day.
