My horse had his first night in last Sunday came out his stable Monday morning lame in front, tiny bit of heat n tiny bit of swelling.
A week on he's a bit better but still lame and stiff when he comes out in the morning..
Tonight I troted him up n it looked to be the other front leg the one that is not swollen..
Any ideas what a horse can do in a stable over night .
He was at the vets last Monday as he's a baby n had a few little problems lately, she had a look at his leg and said looks like he's banged his fetlock, tendons etc all look fine.
Any info great full :-)

abscess? this is abscess season now as its warm but wet. My horse has gone in to his stable and walked out of it like he's broken a leg in the space of a few hours.

Can you get a farrier to come and use some hoof testers?

edited to add could it be that he's just stiff from standing all night? does it ease off though out the day?

Hey thanks for reply, had farrier wed he said feet are all perfect.
No its the same throughout the day as first thing, its unusual for him to be stiff in front, her sometimes stiff behind in a morning but walks it off but never in front .
