Hi all, hoping for some advice/experiences.
I had my approx 14 yo rescue cob mare at a dressage lesson yesterday and the instructor picked up on some potential tightness in her back (she had been absolutely brilliant and very willing throughout the lesson though better the less I sat in to her back) Luckily, there was an incredible physio who was to be doing a demo later on in the day who really kindly offered to take a look at her. We walked and trotted her up in hand in a straight line on concrete and was perfectly sound, so put her in a small circle (10metres maybe) on the lunge. She was totally fine on left but lame on right fore. Not hopping lame and happy to move forward but head bobbing obviously. Physio found nothing other than a bit of tightness in her back and no obvious causes. She was reshod (just fronts) on Wednesday and farrier didn't mention anything untoward. I though she looked a tad long in the toe and the heels of shoe were quite close to bulbs of heel. She's never been at all lame that I know of, but is the type to still try and do her job even if her leg was hanging off. I have no experience with lameness to just asking for some opinions and plan of action really! thank you to anyone who managed to read this far x
