In the winter, do you know if it ok to feed linseed to a pony who can get laminitis???
I dont 'do' laminitics but I was given one a few months ago and I am organising myself for the winter !!!

I used to feed it to Will for condition with no problems, just didn't think it actually worked!

Best thing to do is ring the laminitis trust direct, they are very helpful with feeding advice

Personally, I wouldnt.

What are your reasons for wanting to give pony linseed?

I feed it to the two old craoks in winter, helps oil the joints

Try googling Laminitis Trust, they will no doubt try and flog you some Farriers Formula or whatever it's called nowdays if you ring them but have a look on the site first

Yes, linseed can be safely fed to laminitics, especially if you want to help their joints. Micronised ready to feed is said to be the best.
