Laminitis/ cal mag or mag ox?

Iv always had my laminitis prone pony on mag ox , if it does anything who knows but iv kept it going but ran out a few days ago. Now iv got a big bag of cal mag left from one of my other barefoot horses and wondered if I could use it up? Would it do the same job seeing that its mag?

You can if the pony will eat it. Mine hated calmag, its very coarse and gritty, and it doesn't contain as much Mg as MagOx so you would have to feed more by weight to get the same amount of Mg.
Saying that, lots of people do use it as its really cheap and some horses are less fussy than others!
