im soo sorry..at least hes pain free now and im sure he knows you done as much as you could
my son lost his best friend(the palomino pony in sig) a few months ago due to lami..he also perked up for a bit and we thought wow hes doing well then went straight back down..it was pitifull to watch him try to walk
i read and absorbed as much as i could about lami but it still never saved him
Am so, so sorry. I lost my old boy to lammi 6 years ago; have missed him every single day since.
Its a horrible, awful, cruel disease; one feels so helpless.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you; yours will have gone to that Very Special Place for special horses - they will all be waiting for us, one day, the other side of the rainbow.
im so sorry for your loss
im currently going through this with my old mare who has cushings. shes been on box rest since new years eves. spent over 2000 on x rays an bute. shes had heart bars fitted and she came sound but the last few weeks she started going lame again with no change in her routine.
im scared that i may be fighting a losing battle
Thank you so much everybody. I am so overwhelmed with how much support I've had, here and at work, at the yard, everywhere. It definitely helps.
To everyone who is still fighting the laminitis battle with their horses. Don't give up hope, so many do recover. Sadly George was not one of the lucky ones, but I sincerely hope your horses and ponies will be.
