Laminitis going barefoot?

My mare is boxed rested for lami since July

she has started founderguard which is a preventative, so at the moment its returning her gut to normal after the build up of toxins.:)

She is also on Formula4feet, laminator, flexijoint, and bute with her speedybeet

I can't decide which has shocked me most, the length of time your horse has been box rested, or the amount of toxins that the gut is having to cope with.
I fail to see how it is going to return the gut to normal, hopefully your vet has explained that one to you.

I suggest you look on the founderguard web site if you need to be enlightened

As for box rest time it will take as long as it will take . I have spoken to people who have had their horses box rested for up to and over a year.
Things have improved since she had the initial Laminitis so as long as things are going in the right direction that's all that matters.

I have explained our situation more than twice I am not going to repeat it again. Each case is different and has to be dealt with as so.

sheesh one of my liveries was box rested 3 1/2 months with tendon injury .
