I have just catched up my welshy to find him very sore on his fronts on the hard ground. Sound on school surface or in his field but very sore on the Tarmac. Shifting his weight a bit. Heat in hooves.
Chucked a few bales of shavings in his box so he has a massive bed and have left him in with a well soaked net.
I've never had a horse with the disease before so I'm very panicky. Im calling the vets first thing and have the farrier due Monday.
I'm lost. Someone tell me what to do for the best. He's not even that fat, certainly no different to your average 'show condition' animal.
