My pony went footy about 4 weeks ago, so I reduced the grass she was on (from not much to less). However, she carried on with this mild footyness with a very slight head bob in trot. I got the vet out last week who said its possibly a very slight low grade laminitis although she said the lameness was so slight she'd still pass a vetting. So she's been in for 5 nights, I was hoping to see some forms of improvement but she still seems not quite right. She can walk over stones no issue just a little short in the trot.
How long would you normally expect before you could see a difference? Although she isn't huge she is carrying a bit of excess weight so I'm trying to get that off her but I was really hoping I'd see a change by now. She isn't showing any other signs of laminitis (unable to feel a pulse, feet aren't hot, she isn't shuffled under herself etc.)
Any advice would be great.
