No as she was due to be wormed.

9. Is your equine kept
At grassStabledCombination
Usually, she is out 24/7 in the summer and in winter she is stabled at night.

10. What was the reason given by your vet for the onset of laminitis?

Pasture related
Mechanical
Stress related
Cushings
Other - please state
The Yard got a new batch of hay in at the end of Jan, both the Vet and the Farrier said
it was like 'smokin tobacco'. They thought it was the hay and the grass.
I used to feed ad-lib hay but now I weigh and soak her hay for 12hours, she gets 1.5%
of her body weight and I hang it various times of the day. Her grazing is limited now
and she wears a greenguard muzzle. After 5months of touch and go she recovered and
I can ride her now. Her diet has now canged after ringing the Laminitis Trust to
1scoop of Happy Hoof morning and night with mag oz.

Hope that has helped, if you need any more information then just ask :)

Vet was very suprised she got laminitis, she has never been a fat pony. Was teasted for Cushings but was negative. 6 months later was diagnosed as Insulin Resistant. The vet thinks that the attack may have been trigged by hours of standing with the snow freezing into solid balls for hours at an end.

Sorry I filled out your questionnaire and I don't live in Sussex. Should have read it properly first (derr!) However, I have learned how to set up a survey for myself - so many thanks. Please see Riding and Health - anyone anywhere can fill it out. Good Luck with the lami survey we need all the info on this we can get.
