Hello everyone.
Im am a university student in my last year at Northampton and i have a keen interest in horses.
If you or someone you know has horses (or ponies) that have/had laminitis, could you please fill out my short questionnaire. Anyone who is, or knows equine vets or therapists can also participate or pass it on to these specialists etc. This is for my uni dissertation so it will be very much appreciated if people could fill it out or pass the link on to people fitting the criteria above.

(PLEASE only people who have previous or current knowledge of dealing with laminitis, so you can answer questions on treatments, preventatives and causes)

If anyone wants my end dissertation journal article to read as a thank you for taking part in the survey, please email me your address to; biffabin298@hotmail.com (although completion will not be until after Easter).

Thank you for your help! :D (follow the link below);

On question 8 it wont let me progress to the next. I have to "enter a positive number". I've no idea what this means as the question asks to answer specifically. Can you advise?

Hi guys,
Thank you for taking the time to fill it out.
Those having problems with question 8, this keeps happening for some people and not others. I have just taken off all settings for this question so it should now work. It would be appreciated if any who didnt complete the questionnaire either continue (if possible) otherwise you will need to start again. As number 8 is a critical question i will have to disregard answers that are incomplete or it will mess with my study. All should be fine now....

Thank you for notifying me and responding/participating

With my own pony the only sign was after she became ill with a toxic illness (had very loss droppings and became dehydrated)

The aftermath of the illness was Laminitic changes but there has never been any other signs or symptoms and she does not suffer now.

She has just been diagnosed with Cushings so we will see how she goes.

Most often questions do not apply sash lives out with my others has the same hay and grazing.

Since being diagnosed the only thing I have done is to change her from a Senior Mix to a Balancer. I have also put her on CushX from Hilton Herbs.

Paulineh, I have looked through the questions and you should be able to answer the questionnaire if you wished to. If there are parts where i have missed anything you described above, there are "other please state" boxes at every question. All answers are valid and appreciated (provided the questionnaire is complete). Thank you for sharing your story, i hope your pony gets better soon and she doesn't feel poorly for long. Thank you :)

lachlanandmarcus, Thank you for your contribution :)

Nearly up to 1000 participants!
Thank you to everyone who has helped so far!! Please keep passing it around to others who fit the criteria and see if i can reach 1000 by the cut off date with your help!

Lydia

This questionnaire will be closing soon, i will only be collecting data for my dissertation for another week or two. So please, if you haven't already, fill it out and pass it to others who fit the criteria.

Thank you
Lydia

Hi,
This questionnaire has now been closed. Thank you to everyone who participated, i have had an amazing response! I hope the people who have requested a copy of the paper will be happy with the final product, in which they (and everyone else) have helped me to achieve.

I had a few email problems at the start, so if you wanted a copy of the final paper, emailed me and have not had a response, could you please email me again to: biffabin298@hotmail.com

Thanks again for all of your efforts, i really appreciate it!

Lydia :)
