Six weeks post attack and two vets later (don't ask about vet #1 ) we have Imprint shoes on (don't ask about the cost either!!) and a very comfy pony as a result.

Still on a very restricted EMS style diet and will be for life now, weighed out soaked hay or blue Horsehage in a Tricklenet, soaked sugar beet, Formula 4 Feet and an additional supplement containing magnesium oxide and what I like to call 'herbal woo' (rosehips, mint, yea-sacc etc) plus metformin as prescribed. A bare paddock is being arranged and, fingers crossed, if the improvement continues she can start going out on it for a few hours.

Second set of x-rays taken last week - still haven't got access to first set, taken in week one, but they showed no movement at all. Note long toe, this was six weeks post trim, farrier has taken this right back, and significant movement/rotation - the screw heads indicate the level of the ground so the sole is now obviously convex.

Instantly more comfortable in the Imprints. Once the first one was on she transferred all of her weight to it and rested the shoeless foot!

Will get a standing picture this evening.

BC - I've completely missed all of this! Sorry to hear about the lami. Connie had an imprint shoe when she had lami in her offside fore - they are fantastic things, and make such a difference (feel you pain on the cost bit though! especially as Connie wasnt covered by her insurance!!) - Connie had imprints on for about 5 shoeings, and then went into a steel heartbar. 2 shoeings ago she went into a normal shoe, and the last shoeing (about 2 weeks ago) she has gone barefoot, something I never ever thought she'd be able to do, but my farrier suggested it after i'd told him she was retired now.

I'll keep my fingers crossed your neddy is feeling better soon, and continues to improve.

so pleased she is more comfy in the imprints, onwards and upwards hopefully now.

the poor welshies aren't doing too well on here atm with your girl, Frank, Phil and I think million dollars black boy all wonky
