I am writing this as I would like other peoples experience with laminitis , people who have actually gone through it hands on, rather than those who have just learnt it from training ( which I have ) we learnt all about it in BHS exams.
Her shoes had been on 10 weeks due to farrier going awaol. a new farrier trimmed them and looked for abscess nothing
My mare was diagnosed with lami a few weeks back , treatment was delayed as I thought it was a tendon as it was only one foot, so we treated her ice pack etc. Vet came
Vet came again and said poultice for abscess still nothing came out. finally we x rayed lami in off fore.
since then had Billy come doing her feet ( after he has seen x ray ) he put on heart bar shoes . she was getting more comfortable, till she got out raided the barley ring bin and i found her in field.. hobble back and been secured ever since, but still very lame, vet gave her sedaline over weekend along with fedalyne , which she seemed more comfortable on. Now back on prodynam she is lame again.
So how long did it take for your horse to start being pain free on rd to recovery.
