i have just been having a conversation with a friend of mine they are new owning horses so i have been giving her pointers when she gets stuck. i just passed comment to be aware to make sure there horse doesn't get to fat this summer as she risks lamintus. she said to me someone (down her yard) told her that only ponies could get it!!

have have corrected her and pointed in the direction of articles to help her condition score and what its (also told her not to panic as, aslong as she is careful there shouldn't be a problem)

i am just gobsmacked that people still think lamintus only happens to fat ponies!!!

yes every one seems to think that, they dont realise it can be caused by concusion in the feet, and by diseases such as cusings and toxins in the body. horses or ponys dont even need to be fat to get it.
