Land and stables

The field behind us is agricultural, I believe. And I read on another old thread that you cannot even put temporary stables (not the ones you get at shows but the ones on skids) on agricultural land. Is this true? If it is what land use must your land be if you want to put stables, whether temporary or permanent, and fencing?

Plannig rules are changing it should soon be possible to put up stabling on agri land. you need to contact your local council. other than that it is possible to get plannig for stables and barns. I live in an AONB and there are several stable blocks with pp here.
