Land is for sale in Brockham, Surrey

Pelhams Estate agents have a lovely plot of land in Brockham. I'm told that the bidding is currently being led by a certain group of society who have no fixed abode...

...please don't let them get it! There is no chance of planning permission on this land (it's been tried many times), so the land would almost certainly be an encampment.

The problem is they will pay £10000 to £12000 an acre, so it is very unlikely that if they want it anybody will pay that for it. There is not a lot you can do about it, we are surrounded down here in wiltshire.

Unfortunately Gypseycob is right, they can and will outbid just about everyone if they really want it. happened all around us too.

Can you believe it - that land is being fought for by the local village and they need to raise £160k according to the www.Brockham.org website. That is a disgusting abuse of the local community. And guess what; it is rumoured that the seller is not only a local but a farrier too!!!!
