Thank you for all the replies to my previous post, the property was great, the house was water tight and apart from cosmetic things really nice we could move straight in. There were lots of good sized outbuildings six stables, and a 2.5 acre paddock, the best bit was the direct access to the 10 acre field next door which was rentable from lovely farmer down the road foor £300 a year. It was fab loads of potential for a great little yard, great hacking 20 mins to competition venue / big indoor school, loads of parking, a big metal barn, there was even a further 2.5 acre paddock for sale at 25K.
The price tag was just a bit big and compared to what we'd get for our money in oz (and still be able to eat) just too much. Plus with the horror stories about morgages and the rates and all the unstability now is not the time to take such a big risk.
So that was my last ditch attempt at the uk - I have closure, we're booking our flights for the end of May and I am 100% determined to make it work.
