Land to rent wanted for alpacas near chipping norton

Hi there

We wondered if readers of this forum might help us!

We are looking for some pasture land to rent to keep a small herd of alpacas - but finding suitable land is so difficult, hence why we're asking for help from the horse community!!

We are looking for (up to) 5 acres of grassland around chipping norton that needs to be fenced with fresh water. We are looking to rent the land. Alpacas don't poach the ground and are good guardians for other livestock (eg. Sheep).

Any advice or information on land that you all know might be available or people to contact (eg. Farmers who might have available land) would be very gratefully received.

I live approx 15 mins from Chipping Norton but we only have about an acre paddock split into 2 that needs grazing. Have you tried putting up an ad in Countrywide? I've always found it to be a really good way of finding/selling!

I'll keep my ears open if I hear of any grazing going spare - I know its pretty tight round here after the hideous winter!

Alpacas are hardy, so don't need premium pasture land.

No problems at all, will have an ask around the local farmers and see if anyone has anything suitable for you.
