I'm looking for a new TO for my mare and just seen a good offer on a Landa Freestyle Standard - does anyone know what the fit is like? My mare is deep-chested with chunky shoulders and her current TO is tight across the chest. Does anyone know what the Landa's like? Or other recommendations?

Thanks in advance :)

I had one for my IDx and found it too tight in the shoulder - big shoulder and deep chested. Preferred the standard shoulder. Good rugs though.

My 15.2 TB x is in the Landa Combo - fits him well but he is narrow across the front, just check the measurements. I tried a Shires rug on him recently and it sat too high on his shoulders. He takes a 6 ft in the WB. It's a nice rug - currently keeping him nice and warm and seems to survive him rolling lots and pulling it around the stable at night!

I had these on my ID cross who was very wide across the chest and these fitted really well much better than the masta rug he also had which was just completely the wrong shape for him. I also liked the huge tail flaps on the Landas as they kept his bottom warm lol!

i have them and whilst i really like the big tail flap the original shoulder vents suit my boy better as i find he gets rubs from the freestyle shoulder dart. Still really like the rugs though and all my turnouts are Weatherbeeta :D

I have a freestyle light weight and it is my favourite rug for fit.

I have a TBxWB but he's a chunky monkey round the front. Fit's him very nicely indeed :)

I have this type of rug too but wouldn't purchase again as its quite tight around the shoulders/chest and can't do the buckle up and fit the velcrow at the chest on either my TB or WBX (have them done up on the 2nd hole). I also have the WB Outlanda (older style) with the gussets at the side and they are lovely and roomy. However I do like the finish of the Freestyle rug if only is was a bit large at the chest/shoulders.

I have full neck versions in heavy and light for my chunky cob, he has a spherical barrel, they are a great fit. He is deep in the neck, and normal rugs 'cut' across the base of his neck, but these seem to move with him very well. The only thing I would change is the depth, which is shallow for my lad.

This is the heavyweight
