I have a Polish bred WBx who is out of the Landgraf I mare Volta JI .. any ideas on temperament/insight of this line of offspring?
The stallion has Northern Dancer background but has bred some superstars apparently - Coraca (believed to be jumping in young horse classes)

Sire - Konig Sobieski
Dam - Volta JI

Any light shed will be rewarded by a fountain of jelly tots

The Holsteiner stallion Landgraf I (1966 - 1999) was by the extremely influential TB Ladykiller and was one of the most important sires of showjumpers ever. These days the Holsteiner C Line has taken over a little but the L blood is still very sought after and some breeders are trying to introduce more of it again. Landgraf I offspring often also have a good trot.

i have a mare who's by Libero H (Landgraf I son)
she doesn't have very good hind action, but front is very light. (ie. not a great trot.. but she's not a direct descendent so..)
agile mare, lot's of power in a jump.
BEST temperament ever.
even with double dose of Ramiro (he's said to have a sharp quirky temperament)
she's still the sweetest little thing, rarely spooks.
i've put my 2yo brother on her. of course, he had help, and a helmet :)
if your horse has a great temp, it would be from him defo.

I had a Langraf Gelding who had a very loving sweet temperament and fab movement, I never jumped him, I bought him for dressage as he moved so well.

They appear to be very successful indeed- he is considered to be top class in a pedigree.

It is getting very old now, but he is still around in third generations and further very successfully. I have just booked my mare into a stallion who has him in the damline.

Are you looking to breed the mare?
