Landrover defender (attention - towing experts ie Rog)

Hi,

I am (well my husband if I'm honest) is just in the process of ordering a new land rover defender 110 county stationwagon. And I am just in the process of buying a rather large (17 h ) warmblood.

I would love to be able to take both of the horses (ie the WB above and a heavyweight 15.1 cob) to some clinics but would I be legal towing a IW 511 with these 2 beasties on board?

PS I'm old (37) so licence isn't an issue.

I doubt both horses plus other stuff in the trailer will not reach 1700 kgs ?

Thanks - no the biggy probably weighs 600kg and the other about 500... so we'll be well within that (I doubt a haynet weighs that much

My OH drives a defender 90 and he says it will be no problem at all, just don't expect to be able to beat a golf when you take off from the lights. (his words exactly) If you check the Landrover web sites it gives the towing capacities.
