......I got my self one. It's an old one 91/92, pickup with Ifor Williams back on it....I love it.....even has a personalised number plate, well a normal plate just happens to be personal to me.....SJT on the end. (my initials)!!!

Meant to be.

So i amm now free to pull Lady Bug around in the Landy Bug and dad can have his weekends back to himself.

First outing Sunday to Rockbourne!!!!!:D:D:D
 
Lucky you, I loved mine, til it was stolen. Very attractive to thieves, so recommend you sleep in it.:D

Have you noticed when passing other Defender drivers, there's a 'special' wave ? I used to cringe and do a half hearted one-finger-off-the-wheel-greeting and then laugh like a drain at myself.

LOL yes i've noticed that, we have some Landrover owner club drivers round here too.

I saw on Countryfile last night about them being highly attractive to the thief, due to them being able to be broken down into parts really easy.

I think i will camp with it. LOL Or leave a Doberman on the front seat, one that hasn't had it's dinner!!!!! :D
 
Lucky you, I still miss mine, I unfortunately wrote him off on black ice end of last year, you will have to get used to "the special wave" which you will get off other defender drivers - it is great. I now have a pick up and do relish the comfort of it but when I see one though I still hanker after my "Red" :(
 
Yep, highly nickable!!!. I have an 89 plate and it was stolen 18 months ago off my drive. It had a steering lock on which was just broken off. I eventually got it back (as a class D write off) and it is now under a security light, with a disklock and clutch claw and also blocked in by my car each night.
Its great though and I was heartbroken when it went.
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 04 green ( the only real colour for a Landy) and wouldn't be without it , saw the piece on countryfile about people nicking them so i think i need to lock mine at night from now on LOl...I do the half hearted finger wave at fellow landy's but half the time folks round here don't wave back ho hum..
 
Mine is currently blue although keep messing with my OH and saying that i am going to have it re-done in Red with black spots.....Lady Bugs xc colours!!!!!
As you can imagine he wasn't impressed by my idea to bling it up!!!!! :D

Love mine called Henry, its an older model and was gutted to hear that Land Rover wont be making anymore of them. After watching Countryfile its worth more as scrap than anything.
The wave makes me cringe.
