If anyone is on holiday near Lands End, or lives close by - how about going along on Thursday morning to cheer on two of our vets at Rossdales in Newmarket, who are attempting to ride a tandem cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats in 9 days (arriving on Friday 7th August). The pair of them (Ollie Pynn and Richard Payne) are attempting to raise money for pancreatic cancer and welcome any donations or support through the link below.

They welcome anyone to join them for a short distance, or just to offer support throughout the route - stopping at Tavistock, Langford, Ironbridge, Slaidburn, Gretna, Glasgow and Inverness.

Ollie is our stud vet and admits when he was out at our yard this evening that the furthest he's cycled in a day has been 65 miles, and now he and Richard are attempting 125 miles a day.

Give them your support - they both will need it!

Hi, I live just outside Penzance and would love to support them for a v worthwhile charity. Was just wondering what time they are planning to leave?

Sorry - it was in the title but not in the main text - 8am (well, that's the plan anyway). Ollie is the blond one and Richard is the darker one. They would really appreciate it.

Hi,

I have already donated, i do wish them loads of luck!! Ollie is also my vet to, i spoke to him yesterday and dont think there has been much practising going on so i hope they can walk when they get back!!!!

Judging by what he was saying last night, on his part - there hasn't been much practising (especially as he's just got back from two weeks holiday as well). Couldn't believe that he and Rich have only had one practise session on the tandem itself! He's booked in to come out the first day he's back at work - so I think we'll make sure the cushion is handy for him to sit on when he has his cup of coffee!

Hope you weren't one of those who put the rude message on! He was really surprised that we hadn't! Poor Ollie - don't we give him hell!

Yes i was a little

- think Rich was going to bike back from Carlton BE event last sunday but that was it!!!

Well my message was a little rude, but not quite as bad as some on there

Ha ha yes a cushion sounds like a good plan, either that or a rubber ring, i am not due to see him til a few weeks after so hopefully he will be back to normal!!!
