I think it is a grey, homebred but not out of a Weld mare - and has been running with mares this yr. There was a Matinee colt but I do not think it passed its grading so was gelded.
The Matinee colt was supposed to be eventing with Helen West and was entered but never appeared, then he seemed to disappear so perhaps he was gelded.
Having had two of his offspring (M) they take a very very long time to mature, and I wouldn't want anything by him again, so perhaps it was a good decision.
I must admit they are very talented but so are others with less hassle..!
