i have started feeding high fibre haylage as my horses wont eat the hay .i am buying the small 25 kg bags but this is so expensive as my 3 eat one a day .is there any local to me as i will be bankrupt other wise .needs to be the lower energy haylage .i can collect .

Don't know where you are in S.Lincs but Tickler's at Stainfield do small (100kg) bales that last our three about 5 days. They will deliver for £15, so it needs to be a decent sized order. We collect, as we can fit one into our little 3ft trailer (!). They are £21 each and lovely quality. We were getting through one 20kg bag a day from local feed merchant (own brand), and they were £7 each!

There is a company called Lincs Forage near Holbeach. I don't have anything from them but a friend does and says they are very good.

thank you,i have had hay off them before so know where they are .is it the low energy stuff .

Afraid I can't say! Smells lovely, boys happy with it, and it doesn't smell as "rich" as some commercial bags, if you see what I mean? I know the smell doesn't necessarily equate to the nutritional content, but, to me, it looks and smells like rather nice, slightly more moist hay. Not very scientific, I know! I suppose you could ask, but I have the feeling it is a straightforward choice between hay, or haylage - we certainly weren't asked whether we wanted hi, or lo-cal.......it IS Lincs!!!!! :D
