How many small hay bales are the equivalent of a large hay bale???

How much do you pay for a large hay bale???

Um, don't know how many bales would be equialent but we pay £23 a bale for haylage if that helps at all?! I would guess a big round bale is probably 5 small bales roughly?

Hiya, around six small bales are the equivalent of a round bale. Price around £22-£25 per bale

hi, we pay £10, for a large bale, very good quality and it will last about 2-3 weeks with 3 horses and big haynets!

Do you mean large square bale or a round bale - square bale takes about 6, round bale about 10

Trouble is that they come in different sizes!

Round are about 6 or 7 bales, as they are not as dense at square ones

A quad large square bale is around 10 small bales. However varies from machine to machine and how thick the sward is
