...anyone use them?

How much do you pay and how long do they last?

Am thinking of moving horse to a yard that uses them and want to work out cost effectiveness!
Thanks

I use the large (I think 5 foot?) round Hay bales.. My two eat their way through about one a week through the winter, but that is for in the field too, and they cost me about £20 each delivered...

I have limited storage so usually only have two at a time

I have the round haylege (large) bales and 4 large horses on them and use 1 ever 6 days that is giving two large haynets per horse a day. I also use the large round straw bales and get about 9-10 builders white bags full of straw from each bale. Using it as needed in the four stables. The farmere we buy from is £24 for Haylege and £12 (think for the straw) Hope this helps

we` use the large square bales...hay is 20 straw is 30...hay lasts i horse approx 3-4 weeks...straw lasts ages about 8 weeks.

these are 8 ft bales x 3ft massive !!!
