Large stirrups anyone?

My OH has found that his feet are rather too snug in the stirrups that he has tried so far. This is obviously a safety issue. Does anyone know of any wider than 6"?

Most wholesalers sell upto 5" (imported from China), Shires I believe do a Prussia side stirrup iron up to 5.5" but I will look through my suppliers to see if I can locate anything larger,but I doubt it, Oz

No, I can't find any I'm afraid, you'd have to more than likely get them made up specially but we are talking mega money for that.
Maybe someone else can find some?

Has he tried using different footwear to ride in?

Thanks for looking anyway. I've trailed the internet looking and not had any luck. I may have to buy him some narrower boots! I bought the ones he has now and they are quite chunky. If anyone else manages to find anything please let me know.

I have a pair of bent iron ones that are too big for us to use, you'd be welcome to give them a go if you wanted. Pm me if interested and i'll send them to you.

Might be easier to change the boots, hubby find his mountain horse boots can be problematic but his smart showing boots are fine.
