I need to go shopping for a few bits and pieces, including some new jodphurs/breeches for me. So, Somerset peeps, where would you suggest? I would like somewhere with a good range that's not too expensive, I want horsey stuff too but it the jods/breeches that I'm really in need of.

Thanks :)

Ummmmm North I think, I'm in Street so anything kinda Taunton, Yeovil, Bristol but anywhere around Somerset is fine really. I want to be able to try things on and get a good fit for once lol.

Wadswick Country Store in Box is the biggest one I know of; just north of Bath. My parents now confiscate all of my money as soon as we get within a mile of the place :P

Only been in each once, and was looking for specific things so didn't take to much notice of everything else, but you could try Highwood in Yeovil and Mane Event Saddlery near Shepton Mallet. Neither struck me as being overly expensive with the items I did look at.

I am in West Somerset so may be a bit far for you but I get most of my stuff from Mole Valley Farmers. There is a lovely tack shop in Minehead and one in South Molton (but thats Devon ;) ) Of course not forgetting Wychanger Barton in Wellington (but I find that a bit pricey?)

Unicorn saddlery at Hatch Beauchamp (just along from Langport) are very good, massive stock, very friendly service.
Highwood in Yeovil is good, lovely staff, but not as much choice.
Mole Valley in Yeovil isn't great for jods etc IMO.
Ridemore at Wincanton is good, but can be pricey.

Unicorn is good out at ilton and Ridemore in wincanton is good too. As mentioned highwood is ok but small.

Forgot to say, Henry Bowers in Chard is great and the one I use which, although its Dorset (Bridport) is good.
