Lass had her op last monday and came home friday evening. She is doing really well and the vet is very pleased with her progress and how bright and alert she is.

I have been fussing over her like a mother hen lol!!

aah, bet your're glad to have her home... she's looking well - there's some neat looking stitches there!
all the best for a quick recovery. x

she looks great and all the best for the future,
But could i just say one thing to feed her hay from the floor as it encourages then to stretch down. this is what i was told from my vet but i do any way.
Keep us up to date with her progress

She looks fab. So healthy and shiney. Well done to you on looking after her like that and the vets must have treated her well. The stitches are so neat too. Much neater than any I have. Perhaps I should have had the vet do mine. Keep us updated. Lovely horsey by the way.

Been helping my friend with her horse who had the op about 4 weeks ago now. Horse still on box rest but doing really well. she has a couple more weeks in the box with daily walks out and then can go onto lunging with a Pessoa then at 12 weeks she goes back for a check up. Where was your horse operated on? We are all keeping our fingers crossed that the mare will be happy and comfortable and able to be ridden again when the recuperation period is over, watch this space!!!

I am glad your friends horse is doing well.
Lass was operated on at my normal vets in maidstone i decided to let her have it there rather than being refered,

He has done a great job so far and i really trust him.

Keep me updated on how your freinds horse gets on.

That wound looks really tidy, my horse recently had the surgery but his wound got infected and took some time to heal properly so you are lucky! good luck with the rehab, we've just done 8 weeks walking in hand and 5 weeks lunging, seems like an eternity as neither of us is keen on lunging!

Went to sunny Gloucestershire - except it was anything but, the Wye Valley was stunning but very wet - it tipped it down all week not fun with a 3yr old daughter!!!!!!!!!! At least I got to leave the horse at home, little sod threw me in the river before I went away, decided to bolt in hand as he didn't want to leave his new girlfriend (new mare to the yard!) in the field, his hormones got the better of him, I got a right soaking and was very unimpressed! Now researching calmers again!!!

Be lovely to meet up - sounds like strong coffee needed on both sides but from the sounds of it you're doing brilliantly!
