Was thinking this morning, most of us ride for fun/hobby but when was the last time your horse made you laugh out loud?

Billy was feeling well this morning, took him into the field to do some flatwork, he had other ideas and promtly kept taking off/leaping about - he felt so happy and just wanted to enjoy himself it made me laugh out loud! :D
We gave up on the dressage and went hacking instead and had a blast :)

So when was the last time you laughed out loud? :)

My horse does comedy far better than he does anything under saddle. This weekend was our first attempt at lead and ride (he insisted on holding the headcollar of the horse being led in his teeth), at his first event last week he landed after a fence and let out an enormous squeal, and his everyday habit is to throw his feed bucket at people passing his stable once he's finished his food.

This morning!!!!

I'd nearly finished changing rugs for turnout and just has his over reach boots left to do. I crouched down next to his front legs and put all 4 in a pile just behind me.

Put one on. Saw something fly across the stable.... Closely followed by something else.... And then felt something on the back of my neck.

Fig merrily chucking 2 of his boots across the stable, before helpfully passing me the last one!!!

Doughnut horse :)

This morning, on being given a proper horse sized paddock (double arena size ish) for the first time in 4-5 months trotting round with his tail flag in the air, doing whale 'snorting' impressions. Best bit was he even looked sound! :eek3: :biggrin3:

The other night, walked over to Jazz to catch her and she walked away ears back, tail swishing in a 'I don't want to work' way. I turned away to pay the babies some attention as they ALWAYS appreciate human company and next thing Jazz comes stamping through the crowd, biting at them and pushing them out the way, and then faced me with the sweetest look on her face almost saying 'oh hello, here I am, where have you been?'

Yesterday after our endurance ride. I offered him some speedibeet water which he loves. He put his head as far in the bucket as possible, sloshed his head about madly, pulled his head out and covered me in speedibeet and water. He is hilarious.

Sunday. We had a little dressage to music event at our yard for a bit of fun. Matti was full of himself so our enter at A in working trot became enter at A cantering sideways. During the canter he go a bit carried away and added in several perfect flying changes. Still, I spent most of the test giggling so at least I wasn't nervous!

Amber was sulking at having to do dressage again so threw in some leg yield, shoulder in, quarters in and super slow-mo trot. None of which was required, but at least she looked pretty!

It's a good job I love them :)

This morning!

After a quick ''warm up'' on the lunge without the pessoa attached, I wanted to attach Socks's pessoa, and instead of putting the lunge line on the floor (calm down safety officers..I didn't do that one!) or holding the lunge line, I plonked it over Socks's ear like a buckaroo donkey game :D He seemed to enjoy it hahaha :p what a donkey....

This morning having a lovely canter on a hack when he suddenly spots a lovely piece of grass and does an emergency stop and sticks his head down to eat! Almost slid off down his neck couldn't stop laughing. Even at 20 he is a little sod haha x

My gelding has quite a sense of humour. I took him up the hill for a good gallop but he had other ideas, was feeling rather well, started bucking and never stopped until I flew (rather ungracefully) off! He then proceeded to do his best stallion impression huffing and puffing and showing off to the ponies in the adjoining field. Although I was slightly injured I had to laugh!

Took my 5yr old boy to a very low key local show yest. His first ever sj class, all of 45cm ;) he only went clear and then into the jump off (first ever jump off), there was about 9 in it, he only went a got 3rd :P just look at 1st and 2nd :D:D

the trumpeting and half rears were worthy of an evening performance :o

I always leave the lunge line on the floor with mine, if he's in the arena he's not going anywhere, he's pretty good at the stand command tbh! I wouldn't if I was lungeing in the field, whole different ball game that! :p
