No, but I do remember the Kiwi NZ rugs being advertised in H&H mag. They were a better, sturdier and posher non slip design of canvas rug with leg straps but no surcingle.
The rug that my lad was wearing in the pic was one of the usual frankly rather thin and nasty NZ rugs of the time. They leaked, rubbed and slipped - horrible things.
