Had my new boy for 9 weeks now. When we arrived at the yard I was told he would be wormed straight away, I asked if he had been done about 2 weeks ago and they realised that they had forgotton. I asked again on Tues and they 'didn't know' if he'd been done. Apart from the annoyance of the yard not doing what they should've - could it cause him an issue. Does he now need extra wormer, and what about encysted worms ... ? Not sure when he was last wormed with previous owner.

Wormer is given according to weight of the horse so he won't need any extra. I would personally worm for encysted red worms too as you don't know the worming history
