latest weather forecast for badminton today?

We are sitting waiting to open the trade stand and desperately hoping it will stop raining! I can't seem to get metcheck on my blackberry and wondered if anyone knows if its likely to stop raining??

PS if you are coming wrap up warm and wear waterproofs and wellies!

Um. I don't think you want to know! I put Badminton into MetCheck and got:

Showers 'till lunchtime;
Then snow shower;
Then the afternoon and evening are due to be varying degrees of sleet

I just looked and got rain and wind early on, changing to partly cloudy. I think you'll all be OK.

On bbc weather I got
Showers til 11am, then dry spells - doesn't look too warm at only 8 .

I just put the Badminton office post code in and got:

Light rain;
Heavy sleet (lots of it);
Then cloudy, but dry this evening.

It will range between 4 and 5 degrees, but feel much colder

This is what the Met Office says for the South West:

Headline:

Rain clearing eastwards, then dry with sunny spells. Feeling chilly.

Today:

Starting dry in Cornwall, but many other places seeing some rain during the morning. Becoming mostly dry by lunchtime, however, with long sunny spells developing, the best of these in the west. Feeling chilly with fresh northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.


Metcheck are indeed forecasting temperatures down to -1 and snow

As for what's happening slightly further West (in North Somerset); it's stopped raining and is brightening up slightly.

Thanks Mrs M, intravenous hot choccies required today I think. Sadly no jackets or wellies on our stand, but I reckon anyone who is selling them will have a cracker of a day!

Just seen the weather forecast on the tv. It's bad in the south east, but the rest looked dry, so fingers crossed that the winds help and take the wet away!

MY house is about 7/8 miles from you, its stopped raining now...lets hope the Met office are hungover or drunk still and just having a laugh!!

Hiya Oldmare, which is your stand?

I wish you luck accuweather say dry at 10 then rain at 12 then a few cloudy hours and rain again at 4 and 5 no mention of sleet but does say currently 6 c realfeel -2.

\now my sympathies are with you guys on the stands shivering your timbers and for those hardy folk camping all I can say is brrrh!!!
