Latex footskins for abscess

Anyone know where I can get them? Captain has an abscess and we are currently using the lovely YO's but need to get them myself.

I wouldn't bother. I tried them and they were useless!

I've never used them but was chatting to my vet the other night and he has started using tractor tyre inner tube, he gets them from the local ATS place (the used ones so free of charge . I'm going to give this a try next time, sounds like a great idea

Thanks, we have been using them and they are okay for Cappy. He is in all the time at the moment just want to keep his foot dry.

Lol, that's what I thought, my vet is a bit of a Heath Robinson type, always coming up with wonderful ideas and inventions

I have two duff tractor tubes - so may well try that too! But my biggest problem with current a**ehole of a horse with an abcess is that we o sooner have a new poultice on than he starts ripping it off!! I DID experiment tonight with a piece of gaffer tape around his mouth!
