Hi.. does anyone have a pair of Laube Clippers with the snap on/off blades and if so what are your thoughts on the clippers? i am thinking of buying a pair.. i currently have a pair of swifts but i find they are big and heavy and they are getting on a bit now..

Which Laubes? The cowboy, the lazor? I have the lazors - I don't do much horse clipping but they're okay for it, but not on a heavy coat. The Cowboys are more correctly angled for horse clipping and heavier duty. I haven't used them though.

It was the lazors i had thought about .. i have a maxi cob and hes quite hairy.. i need to hog him and take the hair of his legs quite often.. Do you think they would be up to it? I just quite liked the idea of the snap on blades too.

Hoggying and leg clipping yes, they'd be fine. Full body clips on a heavy coat? No, you'd need the cowboy clippers for that.

Speak to the guys at Technogroom - ask for Stewart - he's got horses and knows which products would be best for that type of job. ;)

No, I don't work for them, but I do use their products every day of my working life!
