Laura won the GP at todays WC qualifier show on Mistral Hoejris with over 71%. great to see him back in action and great for laura. Although the field didn't look that strong (one of last qualifiers andmost big names secured places) its still a very good score in decent company. Actual qualfier is tomorrow when she is due to ride Douglas Dorsey so fingers crossed she may be able to pick up enough points to qualify for the WC final again.

Good result foe Laura. Hope Douglas will be on song. Just watched Wayne Channon. Was using too much leg at times for my taste and Lorenzo resisted rather badly shortly before the flying changes.

Mistral H is just back from injury, but I think he will be a very serious horse for the future. Its great that Laura has such a good up and coming horse as Douglas isn't getting any younger....(but he does look brilliant and I'm sure has lots to give in the future ).

Lorenzo looks like he needs some time off imho. His scores have been lower than usual for a while and he seems a bit flat. Is he used for breeding I wonder?

fantastic result for Laura

Not entirely fair for me to judge the GP as the video link stopped several times but as so often is the case I did not agree with all of the scoring. Preferred Matine & Briar to Warum Nicht and thought Salieri overmarked. Douglas Dorsey looked good but link stopped 3 times so I could have missed mistakes! 10th place with 68.25 so they are qualified for tomorrow.

I agree with you. For me Warum Nicht is also less expressive than others such as Matine and Briar. And this time he didn't do a proper halt at the end.

Yes, it is a fantastic result. She is a talented rider with very talented horses too. Laura is a nice person who I have interviewed several times. It is great for England that she is able to compete abroad often and do so well.
